Delta has a diversified portfolio of 46 city-centre, airport and resort properties. Delta’s local marketing efforts rely on the social media platform that we built. This includes their innovative Delta Lobby Facebook program incorporating local interests and concierge-style guest assistance, as well as unique features, attractions and offers for each property.
KPDi’s relationship with Delta goes back to 2000 and since then Delta has grown to become Canada’s leading first-class hotel management company. Over those years we have helped Delta launch their online presence, their ecommerce engine, their online bookings and their social media program. With the KPDi Facebook Manager – as with other work we have performed – we have helped Delta take advantage of opportunities during a time of rapid technological change, including developing a significant local presence in each of the unique trading areas in which they operate. KPDi developed a custom WordPress plugin through which individual hotels are now able to update Facebook content via WordPress. This custom plugin now allows Delta WordPress administrators to select content to be displayed on the Facebook page, as well as rearrange the order in which it appears and adjust any images uploaded to WordPress for use on the Facebook Lobby page.
KPDi was responsible for the software development of this custom plugin as well as all technical design, completion of necessary refinements to the existing Lobby page, setup and configuration of the plugin, and testing.
KPDi also completed documentation and training on the use of the plugin to Delta Hotels’ designated representatives.
The final project configured the WordPress, Facebook, full content, and custom plugin for fifteen of Delta’s hotel locations across Canada.
